WHITEMAN OSTERMAN & HANNA LLP ADDS TWO NEW PARTNERS, EXPANDS REACH INTO DUTCHESS COUNTY

Whiteman, Osterman & Hanna LLP, the Capital Region’s largest law firm, has welcomed two new partners, J. Scott Greer and Dylan C. Harris, who joined the firm Nov. 1.

Previously, Greer and Harris practiced at Lewis & Greer, P.C. in Poughkeepsie. They will continue to work out of the 510 Haight Ave. space in Poughkeepsie, as WOH expands its presence in the Dutchess County area.

“Scott Greer and Dylan Harris bring outstanding legal talent and experience to the firm and we’re excited to have them join our team,” said Robert Schofield, managing partner at WOH. “By having a bricks and mortar location in Poughkeepsie, we will be able to expand our work in Dutchess County, which is a real growth area for us.”

Greer’s practice focuses on business and commercial law, construction law, labor and employment law, trial and appellate litigation in state and federal courts, and alternative dispute resolution before the American Arbitration Association and other ADR forums. He has served as an advisor and litigator for more than 30 years and has been recognized as an Upstate New York Super Lawyer in construction litigation annually since 2015.   Greer is also a member in the Construction Lawyers Society of America, a highly selective, invitation-only construction lawyer honorary society with membership limited to 1,200 practicing Fellows from the United States and internationally.

A graduate of the University at Albany, Greer earned his law degree at the Albany Law School of Union University.

Harris focuses his practice on real property taxation, municipal law, trust and estates, business and corporate law, and real estate law. He frequently speaks on legal matters including tax certiorari issues and property tax grievances,

Harris is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oneonta and earned his law degree at the Syracuse University College of Law.

Two legal assistants have also joined Greer and Harris at WOH. The Albany-based team now includes more than 100 attorneys.
