Patients, Privacy and Compliance
Working with our Privacy, Cybersecurity and Information Management practice, we can assist medical and dental practices with development and implementation of statutory and regulatory compliance plans, in addressing HIPAA/HITECH privacy and security issues and, more generally, in assisting in the resolution of patient care and treatment issues if and when they arise. Expertise in corporate practice of medicine and other regulatory matters governing the practice of dentistry including, but not limited to, compliance, patient care, self-referrals, and anti-kickback.
Litigation
We have a diverse litigation practice that includes civil litigation, white collar criminal defense, and administrative and regulatory litigation. Working closely in conjunction with members of the Firm’s other practice groups, the Firm’s litigators regularly appear in State and federal courts throughout New York, and in recent years have appeared in matters arising in federal courts in the First, Second, Fifth, Ninth and Eleventh Circuits as well as in the United States Supreme Court.

Land Use and Development
The Land Use and Development Practice Group serves clients in a complete range of environmental matters from routine regulatory compliance, to permitting and approvals, to complex multi-media administrative enforcement and litigation. The Practice Group advises clients on compliance with local, state and federal statutes and regulations relating to the development of real estate, including representing its clients before local planning and town boards, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (“NYSDEC”), the Environmental Protection Agency, the United States Army Corps of Engineers and other federal and state agencies. Much of the Firm’s land use practice is devoted to assisting clients in complying with the State Environmental Quality Review Act (“SEQRA”) and, where relevant, the National Environmental Policy Act (“NEPA”).
