Whiteman Osterman & Hanna Immigration Practice Group attorneys Brian Wang and Seth Leech will discuss immigration law topics at the upcoming Unshackled Book and Community Launch event in Sunnyvale (Silicon Valley), California on July 22, 2023. The event is the largest of its kind in the country bringing together high-skilled immigrants, immigrant founders, venture capitalists, journalists and talent visa holders. In particular, Mr. Wang and Mr. Leech will present a session on creative uses of the H-1B visa for entrepreneurs, investors, venture capital firms and startups. The session will examine: concurrent H-1B rules, the ability to use part-time H1B, the required employee-employer relationship for H-1B, using one's own company as a sponsor and creative options using third-party petitioners such as VC firms as the H-1B sponsor.
