Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP Welcomes Priscilla Capuano as an Associate

Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP, the Capital Region's largest law firm, is pleased to announce that Priscilla C. Capuano has joined the Firm as an Associate in its Litigation Practice Group.
Ms. Capuano focuses her practice on complex litigation matters, bringing experience in municipal law, education law, employment law, and civil rights litigation. Her addition further strengthens the Firm's Litigation Practice Group and enhances the Firm's ability to provide sophisticated legal counsel to businesses, municipalities, institutions, and individuals.
Prior to joining Whiteman Osterman & Hanna, Ms. Capuano practiced at a Westchester-based law firm, where she focused on education law, municipal law, labor and employment law, and litigation. She also completed internships with the Albany County District Attorney's Office and Goldman Sachs Ayco Personal Financial Management and served as a judicial intern in the chambers of the Honorable Mae D'Agostino of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.
Ms. Capuano has experience handling litigation involving claims brought under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and land use matters in both state and federal courts. She has also represented police departments and school districts in Extreme Risk Protection Order proceedings, conducted employment-related investigations involving allegations of hostile work environments and employee misconduct, advised school districts on student disciplinary matters, served as an impartial hearing officer, and counseled municipalities on Freedom of Information Law issues and municipal governance matters.
Ms. Capuano earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Albany Law School in 2024, where she served as an editor of the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology. Prior to law school, she earned her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Siena College in 2021.
Ms. Capuano is admitted to practice in New York State, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Capuano enjoys coaching high school mock trial, helping students develop advocacy, public speaking, and critical thinking skills.
