Priscilla C. Capuano
Priscilla Capuano joined the firm in July of 2026 as an Associate in the Litigation Practice Group. Previously, she worked as an Associate at Keane & Beane, P.C in the firm’s Education Law, Municipal Law, Labor Relations & Employment Law and Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution practice groups. Ms. Capuano completed internships at the Albany County District Attorney’s Office and at Goldman Sachs Ayco Personal Financial Management. She also served as a judicial intern in the Chambers of the Honorable Mae D’Agostino of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York.
Ms. Capuano has attended to litigation matters related to 42 U.S.C. § 1983, Title VII, ADA, and land use in both state and federal courts. Furthermore, Ms. Capuano has assisted police departments and school districts in the Hudson Valley in applications for Extreme Risk Protection Orders before state courts. She has also assisted with various employment-related investigations including hostile work environment and employee misconduct. She has advised school districts in student disciplinary matters and has served as an impartial hearing officer in student disciplinary hearings. She has also advised municipalities regarding Freedom of Information Law issues and municipal resolutions.
Ms. Capuano is admitted to practice in New York State, the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Ms. Capuano received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Albany Law school in 2024. As a student at Albany law School, she was an editor and later the Managing Editor of Production, Research and Writing on the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology. She also served as an Executive Editor for the Center for Judicial Process at Albany Law School and published two articles with the Center. Ms. Capuano was a member of the moot court travel team and the winner of the Karen C. McGovern Senior Prize Trials. She was a finalist in the Dominick L. Gabrielli Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition and won Third Best Oral Advocate in the competition. Her awards included The Judge Merle Nahum Fogg, Jr. ’45 Moot Court Prize, The E. Stewart Jones 125th Anniversary Trial Prize, and The Edward F. Layden, Esq. ’53 and Kathryn I. Layden Moot Court Award. She was inducted into the Order of Barristers, an honor society for law school graduates who demonstrate exceptional skills in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and brief writing.
Prior to law school, Ms. Capuano earned her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Siena College in 2021.
Ms. Capuano has coached high school mock trial since 2018.
