Michael Sardo joined Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP in February 2026 and is a member of the Firm’s Health Care Practice Group. Mr. Sardo’s practice focuses on representation of clients in the independent living and assisted living sectors of the long-term care continuum. His practice extends to a broad range of commercial matters such as business acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing and borrower-side financing transactions, including loan consolidations and debt refinancing.

• Represented purchaser in acquisition and financing of Rochester senior housing portfolio pursuant to court-order receiver sale.
• Represented purchasers and sellers in acquisition, disposition and financing of licensed private pay and Medicaid senior housing facilities across New York, New Hampshire, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri and Kansas.
• Served as local regulatory counsel on numerous New York assisted living transactions, advising clients on structuring transactions in compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory frameworks. 

Mr. Sardo is admitted to practice in New York State and the US District Court for the Northern District of New York. 

Mr. Sardo obtained his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School in 2018. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Sardo obtained a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Law from Binghamton University and was a member of the university’s wrestling program.
