Megan M. Tylenda
Megan Tylenda joined Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP in September 2024. Prior to joining the Firm, she worked as a legal intern in the Edward P. Swyer Justice Center Immigration Law Clinic at Albany Law School, through which she was awarded the Outstanding Clinical Student Award (2024) for her work representing individuals in their immigration matters.
Ms. Tylenda is admitted to practice in New York State. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
Ms. Tylenda is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and regularly volunteers with the Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York. She is also a licensed instructor of the American Red Cross and teaches lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid classes, as well as swim lessons for children and adults.

Ms. Tylenda graduated cum laude from Albany Law School of Union University with her Juris Doctor. During law school, Ms. Tylenda served as a research assistant and was the Executive Editor of Justice Commentaries for the Albany Law Review. She also served on the Student Bar Association as a 1L Class Senator, 2L Class Senator, and Executive Treasurer. She was a recipient of the Siegel Scholarship and received Gold Pro Bono Honors for her completion of 500+ pro bono hours during her time at Albany Law School.
Ms. Tylenda graduated summa cum laude from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, receiving an Honors Laureate Diploma from the Honors College, and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, with minors in Global Engagement and Peace Studies & Violence Prevention. She spent a semester abroad at Virginia Tech’s Steger Center for International Scholarship in Riva San Vitale, Switzerland, as part of her studies. Ms. Tylenda was inducted to Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi and was awarded the Leland B. Tate Award at graduation.
Originally from the Capital Region and a graduate of the Academy of the Holy Names, Ms. Tylenda currently lives in Green Island. In her free time, Ms. Tylenda enjoys traveling internationally, listening to Taylor Swift, cheering on the Hokies, and spending time with her cat, Beans.
