Preparing Employers for NY's Paid Family Leave Law

Whiteman Osterman & Hanna's Labor and Employment Group recently presented a seminar titled “Preparing Employers for New York’s Paid Family Leave Law” in Albany. The panel discussion focused on the responsibilities that organizations will have under New York’s new Paid Family Leave Benefits Law that will go into effect in July. Bob Schofield, a partner with the Labor and Employment Group moderated the session, and additional panelists included Monica Skanes, an associate with Whiteman Osterman & Hanna, Kate Herlihy, Director & Counsel, Life Insurance Council of New York, Inc., and David Wertheim, General Counsel, NYS Workers' Compensation Board.
