Four Whiteman Osterman & Hanna Partners Named “Lawyers of the Year”
ALBANY, N.Y. – Whiteman Osterman & Hanna, LLP, the largest and most well-respected law firm in the Capital Region, is pleased to congratulate four of its partners who have been named Lawyers of the Year in the 27th edition of Best Lawyers in America. Robert Schofield areas of expertise include public and private sector labor and employment issues, education law, and general litigation, as well as State Court practice. Schofield is a past President of the Albany County Bar Association, the Albany County Bar Foundation and the NY Capital Chapter of the Labor and Employment Research Association, in addition to serving as a board member of many other legal and community organizations.
Richard Cirincione’s practice is concentrated in the area of estate planning and he handles all phases of the administration of estates and trusts, including the preparation of estate tax returns and fiduciary accountings. Cirincione is an AV Preeminent rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell®, and has been included in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2013, and Super Lawyers® since 2015. He is a frequent lecturer for continuing education programs for the Trusts and Estates section of the New York State Bar Association.
John Privitera is active in all areas of environmental law including land use, environmental litigation, enforcement, citizen suits, regulatory affairs, compliance matters, hazardous wastes and natural resource damages. He formerly served as Assistant Attorney General in the Environmental Protection Bureau of the New York State Department of Law.
Bruce J. Wagner is chair of the firm’s Matrimonial & Family Law Department. This is Wagner’s second recognition as “Lawyer of the Year,” having received the same designation for 2012. He has been listed in every edition of The Best Lawyers in America since 1999. Wagner has also been named in every publication of New York Super Lawyers-Upstate since 2007, and 2020 marks his fifth consecutive year of inclusion in Super Lawyers’ Top 25 Hudson Valley listing.
