Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP’s Estate Planning and Administration Practice Group is seeking a well-organized, numbers-oriented, team player to join its team at our Corporate Woods location. The ideal candidate should have experience as a Trusts and Estates Paralegal, Trust Officer, or Tax Preparer, or in another relevant professional field. 

The Role:

  • Prepare Surrogate’s Court filings related to the probate of wills and appointment of fiduciaries
  • Assist in transferring assets, including working with financial professionals and clients to complete transfer paperwork
  • Prepare asset inventories and judicial and non-judicial estate and trust accountings
  • Prepare estate tax returns and related projections
  • Monitor estate and trust administration progress and calendar internal and external deadlines
  • Perform administrative tasks with supporting staff

Skills for Success:

  • Very strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Familiarity with accounting and tax software

Required:

  • College Degree and/or paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Trusts & Estates experience is strongly preferred--we are willing to train the right candidate.

Compensation Range: $28.85-43.27/hour
