Catherine A. Graziose
Catherine “Cat” Graziose joined Whiteman, Osterman & Hanna LLP in July 2024. Ms. Graziose previously worked in the area of Higher Education at Bond, Schoeneck, and King, PLLC, and also in the Office of General Counsel at the State University of New York. Ms. Graziose represents public and private clients in Higher Education and Primary/Secondary Education, on a wide range of education and employment law issues. Ms. Graziose specializes in matters relating to Title IX and Title VI, and has background counseling on issues relating to borrower defense, financial aid, Title IV, student conduct, student affairs, and contractual issues for private and public institutions of higher education. Ms. Graziose has a unique passion for higher education which allows her to stay ahead of emergent issues in higher education, which has become a rapidly evolving and everchanging legal landscape. With experience serving as a general counsel, as well in-depth insight into legal standards in higher education, Ms. Graziose is well positioned to provide legal counsel that weighs the needs of each unique institution.
Ms. Graziose is admitted to practice in New York State and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Capital District Women’s Bar Association.
Ms. Graziose graduated summa cum laude from Albany Law School of Union University in 2020. Additionally, Ms. Graziose was the Executive Editor for Notes and Comments of the Albany Law Review, Vol. 83. She was a peer writing assistant, and winner of the Jacob L. Rubenstein Prize (2020). Ms. Graziose was also elected the Vice President and then President of Albany Law School’s LGBTQ+ student organization: OUTLaw.
Ms. Graziose earned a B.A., magna cum laude, from the State University of New York College at Geneseo with majors in Sociology and Psychology.
Originally from Long Island, Ms. Graziose currently lives in Troy. In her free time. Ms. Graziose enjoys exploring different neighborhoods and parks in the Capital Region with her dog Judy.
Ms. Graziose is a member of the Board of Directors for the Pride Center of the Capital Region.
