Jona Hoxha joined Whiteman Osterman & Hanna in September 2022 and was previously a summer associate and law clerk with the Firm. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Hoxha served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Mae A. D’Agostino, United States District Judge for the Northern District of New York.
Ms. Hoxha is admitted to practice in New York State and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Ms. Hoxha graduated with honors from Columbia Law School as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Additionally, Ms. Hoxha was recognized as a Columbia Public Interest Honoree for her pro bono legal work during law school. As a law student, she provided legal assistance to different non-profit organizations, including International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), Catholic Charities of New York, and Sanctuary for Families. Additionally, she was an extern at The Legal Aid Society of New York in the Immigration Law Unit.
Ms. Hoxha graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy at the University at Albany (SUNY). As an undergraduate student, she received the Presidential Award for Undergraduate Research.
Ms. Hoxha is originally from Tirana, Albania and speaks Albanian, Spanish, and Italian. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, learning about a variety of interdisciplinary topics, dancing, and spending quality time with family and friends.
