Tammy Cumo joined Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP as an associate in September 2002. Ms. Cumo practices primarily in the areas of real estate, real estate development, zoning and land use.
Ms. Cumo regularly represents clients with regard to all aspects of development and redevelopment of real property.
Representative Accomplishments
- Member of the team at Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP that serves as counsel to the Schenectady Metroplex Development Authority, advising on all economic development issues including bond and other financing issues, development, acquisition, sale and lease, compliance with State and local regulations, drafting and reviewing internal policies and procedures.
- Represents both private developers as well as public redevelopment corporations in negotiating purchase, sale and lease transactions and all associated real estate issues, including: acquisition/disposition of manufacturing, warehousing, office and commercial properties; commercial leasing; development and management agreements; development of former military installations; land use approvals; preparation and negotiation of all transactional documentation related to commercial real estate engagements; preparation and negotiation of loan and grant agreements and ancillary documents, and preparation of condominium and homeowners’ association offering plans and related documents.

Ms. Cumo is admitted in New York State, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the U.S. Northern District of New York. She is a member of the New York Bar Association.
Background
Ms. Cumo graduated from Russell Sage College, summa cum laude, with program honors in Political Science. She was awarded a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Albany Law School of Union University.
