Chris Meyer is an associate in Whiteman Osterman & Hanna’s Litigation, Arbitration and Mediation Practice Group. Mr. Meyer has experience in a wide range of commercial litigation and antitrust matters, including matters involving significant electronic discovery issues. Prior to returning to the Albany area in 2005, Mr. Meyer was an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP.

Representative Accomplishments

  • Represented clients in federal and state civil litigation matters at the trial and appellate court levels.
  • Represented clients in civil and criminal investigations by the New York Attorney General, U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Federal Trade Commission, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and European Commission.
  • Counseled clients concerning antitrust compliance policies and antitrust issues related to mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and advertising.
  • Counseled clients concerning document preservation policies, including preservation of electronic information.

Mr. Meyer is admitted to practice law in New York, Virginia and Washington, D.C. Mr. Meyer also is admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Western Districts of New York.

Background

Mr. Meyer received his Juris Doctor degree from the Washington & Lee University School of Law (magna cum laude). Mr. Meyer also holds a Master of Arts degree in History from the State University of New York at Albany and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.

Memberships and Community Involvement

Mr. Meyer is an active member of the Albany County Bar Association. Mr. Meyer also currently serves as President of the Clifton Park Baseball League.
