Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP, the largest law firm in New York’s Capital Region, formed a Washington, D.C. subsidiary in 2002 — WOH Government Solutions, LLC — to provide government relations services involving federal policy and public affairs. The office is located in the Ronald Reagan Building, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, in Washington, D.C.
WOH Government Solutions was created to meet the growing demand for assistance in understanding and accessing the complex world of federal legislation and regulation.
In its Washington office, WOH Government Solutions focuses on government relations before both the executive and legislative branches of the federal government. It also assists the private sector as well as non-profit and governmental entities in understanding the day-to-day workings of the federal government. It provides a range of services from lobbying on specific issues to building grassroots support on matters of importance to identifying potential appropriations resources for specific needs and programs.
The president of WOH Government Solutions is Todd R. Howe, who has extensive knowledge of federal policy-making in both the executive and legislative branches and New York State government. He specializes in working with companies and organizations that seek to partner with government and also to address concerns about government policies and regulations.
In 2011, WOH Government Solutions welcomed Kenneth Peterson as their new Executive Vice President. Prior to joining WOH Government Solutions, LLC, Mr. Peterson was a consultant specializing in areas of education reform, alternative energy programs and affordable housing projects. Ken Peterson's focus is education and urban development as well as environmental legislation and programs. He combines career backgrounds in legislative strategy and implementation, public affairs, and community economic development.
As WOH Government Solutions marked its fifth anniversary in 2007, the firm added John Regan, an attorney and former diplomat, to the office. His primary focus is on government relations and immigration law. He represents client interests in front of the United States Congress and advises on a variety of diverse legal issues such as election law and immigration and nationality concerns.
WOH Government Solutions has a diverse client list, specializing in non-profit and cultural institutions. Clients range from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to Southampton Hospital to Computers for Youth, a nonprofit firm that seeks to improve the home-learning environment for underprivileged school children.
